Norris expects Verstappen Japan penalty after Q3 near miss

On the out-laps ahead of the first runs, both cars were going slowly approaching the 130R corner to make space ahead of their push laps. Verstappen went through the corner ahead with a sizeable gap to Norris, who decided to start pushing on the entry to the corner. As the McLaren rounded the corner, Verstappen moved across to the left-hand side, forcing Norris to took avoidable action and across the gravel to not hit the Red Bull broadside.
