Lewis Hamilton at 2022 Belgian GP: ‘The penalty is high'
Sir Lewis Hamilton has spoken highly of the Spa Francorchamps Circuit as it faces a fight to keep its place on the calendar for 2023. The iconic racetrack is the longest on the Formula 1 calendar, and features elevation changes of over 100 metres. It sweeps up through the incredibly challenging, loaded and terrifying Eau Rouge complex, which forms part of the longest flat-out section of the year from La Source up to Les Combes at the end of the Kemmel Straight. The downhill descent begins at Malmedy, and stops when the drivers get down to the Fagnes Chicane.
