Steiner provides update on Schumacher's F1 future amid silly season

Article To news overview © XPB Haas Formula 1 Team Principal Gunther Steiner has revealed that talks around extending Mick Schumacher's stay with the team have yet to begin. Schumacher is in his second F1 season, after stepping up from Formula 2 as the reigning champion for a rookie campaign in 2021 in an uncompetitive car. It has been a mixed season for Schumacher in 2022, with two big crashes in Saudi Arabia and Monaco costing the team millions in repair damage while he scored his first points in Great Britain, following up in Austria next time out.
