Alfa Romeo boss responds to rumoured Audi takeover

Alfa Romeo CEO Jean-Philippe Imperato is delighted with the relationship his company currently have with Sauber amid rumours of an Audi takeover in 2026. Alfa Romeo began sponsoring Sauber in 2018 when they became a name partner, and they bought the naming rights from Peter Sauber in 2019, with the Swiss side struggling for cash flow after a series of poor seasons. Since then, business has been on the up, and that has been helped by the impressive car that has been put together in Zurich in 2022. Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu have managed nine points finishes between them so far in 2022, and the duo have guided the team to sixth in the Constructors’ Championship after 11 rounds –...
