Max Verstappen fires warning at Red Bull after Austrian GP sprint

Max Verstappen believes that tyre wear will be a much bigger factor in tomorrow's grand prix than it was in Saturday's sprint race. The Dutchman put his Red Bull on pole position on Friday with a stunning lap, and he held off the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz on the opening lap before the Spaniard became embroiled in a battle with team-mate Charles Leclerc. This held the Ferraris up, allowing Verstappen to build a gap, and he held a consistent pace out front to claim his fourth sprint race win since its introduction in 2021.
