Red Bull appoint new reserve driver after controversial incident
Carlin Formula 2 driver Liam Lawson has been chosen to replace Juri Vips as Red Bull’s reserve driver after the Estonian was sacked for using racist language. Vips was gaming on a livestream with Lawson when he used the slur, as well as alleged homophobic language, and he was immediately suspended by Red Bull. The 21-year-old took to Twitter to accept responsibility for his actions and issue an apology. “I wish to unreservedly apologise for the offensive language used during a live gaming stream earlier today,” he posted. “This language is entirely unacceptable and does not portray the values and principles that I hold. “I deeply regret my actions and this is not the example I...
