Canadian Grand Prix: Alonso vs Verstappen into T1? Fireworks!
Whoever scripted the 2022 Canadian Grand Prix qualifying cared little for ‘realism' as Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso will start the race in Montreal today from the front row of the grid. No one would have dreamt of predicting that before Saturday in Montreal. What a show the pair gave us in qualifying 24-hours ago, Verstappen dominating in conditions few can rival him in, apart from maybe 40-year-old Alonso who wrestled the Alpine all day, on a wet and tricky Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
