Latifi poised to be sacked mid-season after torrid start to 2022

Nicholas Latifi reportedly stands to lose his seat at Williams amid the rumour that there is about to be a swap between two drivers in Formula 1. Latifi has had a difficult start to the 2022 season, crashing out of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix having already put the car in the wall during qualifying, before colliding with Lance Stroll during the Australian Grand Prix weekend when the two Canadians were on slow laps. He suffered a further spin during qualifying for the sprint race in Imola, before setting a lap time three seconds adrift of the requisite to make it into Q2.
