F1's Race Director emphasises jewellery rule for drivers ahead of Australian GP

Article To news overview © RN365/Michael Potts F1's Race Director for the Australian GP has reminded drivers that the wearing of jewellery in the form of body piercings or metal neck chains is prohibited while piloting their cars. The rule, first introduced back in 2005, has been mentioned in Appendix L (Chapter III, Article 5) of the FIA's International Sporting Code for a number of years. Ahead of the sport's return to Albert Park, Niels Wittich has moved to re-emphasise the rules regarding the wearing of such jewellery by including a paragraph from the Sporting Code in his pre-weekend race notes.
