Hulkenberg hopes for seat with F1 team in 2023: 'I'm ready for that'

Since leaving F1 in 2019, Nico Hulkenberg has always remained linked to Formula One. In 2020, he was called up for three Grands Prix to replace first Sergio Perez and then Lance Stroll at Racing Point and has remained with the Silverstone-based team as a reserve driver ever since. This paid off in Bahrain, when it was announced that Sebastian Vettel could not participate in the first Grand Prix of the season due to a corona infection. As a result, Hulkenberg was able to experience a race weekend from the cockpit at Aston Martin for the first time since the Eiffel Grand Prix in 2020.
