Nyck de Vries may appear at the start in Bahrain
McLaren is far from an ideal preparation for the new season. Where it hoped to go into the test days with Daniel Ricciardo, the driver contracted the coronavirus and is therefore in quarantine. It possibly offers opportunities for Nyck de Vries. According to the rules, Ricciardo has to stay in quarantine until Thursday, after which he is allowed out in the evening. It would mean that the next day he would have to get straight into his car to start the first two free practice sessions, which may not be physically doable.
