Giovinazzi could quit Formula E and make shock F1 return in 2022

Antonio Giovinazzi’s name has been thrown in the ring as a possible replacement should Nikita Mazepin lose his seat at Haas amid the war between Russia and Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Thursday, and over half a million people have been displaced by the conflict thus far. Mazepin entered Formula 1 as a rookie last year as part of a deal between Haas and Uralkali – the Russian firm in which Mazepin’s father Dmitry owns shares. The money from the oligarch paid for the 22-year-old’s drive, but Ukralkali had all of their branding removed from the Haas car during pre-season testing in Barcelona in response to the horrifying events...
