Former Ferrari team principal joins Aston Martin

Former Ferrari team principal Marco Mattiacci has been confirmed as a new signing by Aston Martin, but he will not be reporting to the Formula 1 side of their operation. Mattiacci took temporary control of Ferrari in 2014 following the departure of now-F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, before Maurizio Arrivabene was appointed as his compatriot’s long-term replacement in the 2015 season that saw the Scuderia claim three victories after a winless start to the turbo-hybrid era.
