Aston Martin F1 signs long-term strategic alliance with Aramco
The Aston Martin F1 team has announced a strategic alliance with Saudi Arabian oil giant Aramco that includes an industrial as well as a sponsorship partnership between the two parties. Aston Martin and Aramco – a trackside sponsor of Formula 1 – will work together to develop "highly efficient internal combustion engines, high-performance sustainable fuels, advanced lubricants and the deployment of non-metallic materials in vehicles". But the deal also includes a sponsorship rights and licensing agreement with the Silverstone-based outfit, as well as exclusive branding and endorsement rights.
