Verstappen and Mercedes nominated for prestigious international sports awards
Article To news overview © Red Bull Max Verstappen, the newly-crowned 2021 Formula 1 World Drivers' Champion, and Mercedes, as F1's Constructors' Champions for a record eighth consecutive time, have each been nominated for highly prestigious sports awards. Mercedes have been named as a finalist for the World Team of the Year Award, an honour handed out by the Laureus organisation as part of their annual Sports Awards. Laureus are a global sporting movement across all disciplines of sport, with the organisation hosting annual awards recognising the greatest achievements of athletes and teams.
