Mercedes junior Vesti joins Pourchaire in F2 team

Mercedes Young Driver Frederik Vesti will make the step up to Formula 2 for the upcoming 2022 season with ART. The 20-year-old Danish racer first linked-up with Mercedes in January 2021, heading into the Formula 3 season with backing from the most successful team of Formula 1's turbo-hybrid era. Switching from Prema to ART Grand Prix for the 2021 campaign, Vesti repeated his P4 finish in the standings, taking one race win and one pole position, a drop from three victories in two fewer races in the prior season.
