McLaren offer hope on Mercedes engine reliability

McLaren CEO Zak Brown says that Mercedes are feeling bullish over the reliability of their power unit ahead of the 2022 Formula 1 season. McLaren, who teamed up with Mercedes last year had a solid 2021 season, with Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris scoring a 1-2 finish for the Woking-based outfit in the Italian Grand Prix. And Brown believes Mercedes are happy with the reliability of their power unit for the upcoming season. This was an area of concern for Mercedes in the past campaign, with both Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas suffering multiple grid penalties.
