Mazepin thanks Alonso for helmet: "That was a cool moment"
In a retrospective of his Formula 1 season through some photos, Nikita Mazepin took the time to thank Fernando Alonso for swapping helmets. The Russian, who made his debut in the pinnacle of motor sport last year, calls the two-time world champion a legend and thinks he is a role model. It is a great honour for Mazepin to receive Alonso's helmet. He has given the helmet a nice spot at home. In the video the Haas F1-driver looks back on his first home race in Sochi, the rained out Belgian Grand Prix and his relationship with team principal Guenther Steiner.
