Norris: ‘Hard to decide’ if Abu Dhabi GP climax was fair on Hamilton

Lando Norris is undecided as to whether or not the Safety Car restart at the end of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was fair on Sir Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton lost the win – and with it his eighth world title – after a Safety Car following Nicholas Latifi’s crash allowed Max Verstappen to pass him for the Dutchman’s first F1 world championship. Norris was one of only five cars allowed to un-lap themselves, placing Verstappen directly behind Hamilton for the restart. And, on a fresh set of soft tyres, the 24-year-old was able to quickly overtake the Mercedes driver on the final lap of the grand prix.
