What are the possible race strategies for the Qatar GP?
Article To news overview © Mercedes Pirelli believe that a two-stop approach will be the only viable one to get through the inaugural Qatar Grand Prix, advising the teams against trying to use one-stop strategy. Degradation of the tyres has ramped up over the course of the weekend as the track surface has rubbered in, with Pirelli revealing the evolution of the track saw a 30 percent increase in grip even over the course of Friday's two hours of track time. As a result, the optimal strategy will be a two-stop, regardless of the starting tyre. With the two Mercedes drivers and Red Bull's Max Verstappen starting from the top three positions (pending a potential grid penalty for Verstappen)...
