Verstappen leads opening session at Qatar Grand Prix

Championship leader Max Verstappen led the way during the opening session for Formula 1’s inaugural Qatar Grand Prix at Losail. Verstappen set a time of 1:23.723s to finish almost half a second clear of AlphaTauri driver Pierre Gasly. Gasly set his time towards the end of the session as track conditions gradually improved.
