Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi is annoyed that his team can't seem to get past P5. With next year's rule changes and budget cap, the Frenchman sees a golden opportunity. After all, it will no longer be all about throwing money. Renault focuses on 2022 Renault fought its way up to P5 in a few years, but now seems to be stagnating. The team rebranded itself as Alpine F1, but could not get past that mid-table in 2021 either. Rossi, on the other hand, sees an opening to the top shining in 2022.
