Daniel Ricciardo Daniel Ricciardo put his contact with Carlos Sainz during the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix down to a case of ‘rubbing is racing'. The pair squabbled for fifth position in the latter stages of the race at the Circuit of The Americas, the Ferrari driver getting alongside at one point in their duel. On the inside, Ricciardo held his line, only for his left-rear wheel to make contact with his rival.
