Alonso feels luck is avoiding him ‘big time' this year

Fernando Alonso feels that luck hasn't been on his side in 2021 and has in fact been avoiding him 'big time'. Starting in P5 last time out at Istanbul Park, the Alpine driver looked to be in with a chance of scoring some big points, but that chance quickly disappeared. In wet conditions, he was hit by Pierre Gasly at the start, causing him to drop down to the back of the field, and he was unable to recover, also picking up a penalty for hitting Mick Schumacher. While he takes the blame for that incident, he feels it was bad luck typical of his season that put him in that position to start with.
