De Vries still uncertain what the future will bring

Nyck de Vries will try to continue to "deliver and perform" in 2022, although the reigning Formula E champion has yet to decide where he will apply his skill next season. De Vries clinched the 2020-21 FE title with Mercedes at the all-electric series' final round in Berlin, an achievement that put the 26-year-old on the short list of the Williams and Alfa Romeo F1 teams. Given his Mercedes backing, the Dutchman appeared well-placed to fill a seat at Williams until the Grove-based outfit opted to bring Red Bull's Alex Albon back to the F1 fold, while Alfa Romeo looks set to nominate Chinese hopeful Guanyu Zhou as its second driver alongside Valtteri Bottas for 2022.
