'Mixed emotions' as Williams and Russell part ways

Article To news overview © Williams George Russell leaves Williams at the end of 2021, after getting the call-up from Mercedes to join their team as teammate to Lewis Hamilton on a new, long-term deal. After racing for Williams for three years since making his debut at the start of 2019, Russell has been present for the team's transition from being owned by the Williams family to the new structure under Dorilton Capital, and has also led the team's resurgence from being the slowest team on the grid to becoming midfield runners capable of points finishes once again.
