Gravel on the track and crash cause little practice time at Zandvoort
The first session at Zandvoort was short but sweet. The Formula 3 had its first free practice session, but the drivers had to be very economical with their time due to two red flags. Tijmen van der Helm claimed an unfortunate leading role in his own country. The first free practice in F3 immediately made a lot clear about the circuit. The images are amazing and for the drivers it is a huge challenge. Every mistake is punished, and makes you end up in the gravel. But this also causes problems, because early in the first session there is a red flag to sweep away the gravel.
