This is the state of play after opening stage of the 24 Hours of Le Mans
We have to wait until Formula 1 starts again, but in the meantime there is plenty of action on the track elsewhere. This weekend one of the biggest racing events of the year will take place: the 24 Hours of Le Mans. What's the situation after the first two hours? The opening phase of the race was dramatic: just before and during the start there was heavy rain, so the race had to start behind the safety car. When the green flag was waved things went wrong immediately: Olivier Pla hit Sebastien Buemi, who spun and dropped back to 25th place.
