Norris on Bottas: ‘Why risk those kind of stupid things?'

Lando Norris hopes 'common sense' leads to an appropriate penalty for Valtteri Bottas after the Lap 1 carnage in Hungary. Rain started to fall at the Hungaroring shortly before lights out, leaving the drivers with a tricky start to negotiate on intermediate tyres. It was a task Mercedes' Bottas was not up to, with the Finn getting his braking all wrong at Turn 1 and slamming into the rear of Norris' McLaren. The contact sent Norris ploughing into Red Bull's Max Verstappen, while Bottas proceeded to clear out Sergio Perez in the other Red Bull, eliminating the Finn and the Mexican from the race.
