Perez optimistic: 'There's still plenty to play for in qualifying'
Sergio Perez finished in eighth and fifth place in today's free practice sessions. Not the result the Mexican had hoped for, because the gap to the fastest driver was almost one second both times. Yet he sounds optimistic. “The car felt good over the longer and shorter runs today. I think there’s definitely time to be found, I was caught in some traffic during both sessions so I think there is still plenty to play for in qualifying tomorrow.", Perez said in the official press release from Red Bull Racing.
