Sainz: ‘Obvious' Russell mistake cost me

Carlos Sainz says an 'obvious' error from George Russell is the reason the two drivers came together during sprint qualifying. Disaster struck for Sainz when, fighting for points in the sprint qualifying session, he dropped all the way down to the back of the grid after coming together with Russell and running wide. The incident is being investigated by the stewards, and Sainz has no doubts about who was to blame for it. 'I think it was a pretty obvious mistake by George there,' he told Sky Sports.
