Hulk is one on a ‘long list' of Williams candidates

Nico Hulkenberg is on Williams' list for a potential 2022 drive but it is, according to Williams CEO Jost Capito, a 'long' list. Hulkenberg last raced in Formula 1 full-time back in 2019 before he was dropped by Renault in favour of signing Esteban Ocon. The German, who holds the record for the most race starts without a podium finish, refused to give up on his dream of making a return and, last season, took part in three races with Racing Point. Filling in as a substitute when the Silverstone team's drivers tested positive for Covid-19, Hulkenberg scored 10 points and was dubbed the ‘super sub'.
