Circuit Spa temporarily closed due to flooding damage

Following severe flooding near the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Liege, the track access roads have been so significantly damaged that the circuit will be closed until further notice, a spokesman confirmed today. In a press release that was seen among others by the Dutch Telegraaf the Spa organisation reports that the circuit is currently not accessible. "The road to Blanchimont, which gives access to the paddocks, has partially collapsed and the tunnels Ster and Blanchimont are inaccessible," the press release reads.
