Mercedes ‘optimistic' about ‘exciting' upgrade
Mercedes are feeling 'optimistic' about their chances at Silverstone's British Grand Prix, with updated bodywork set to be on the car next weekend. Their latest upgrade package is being installed in the hope of reeling in a Red Bull car that has streaked away from the Silver Arrows in terms of performance at recent races. Red Bull have won each of the last five rounds of this season's World Championship with Max Verstappen opening up a 32-point lead at the head of the Drivers' standings, in front of Lewis Hamilton. After a demanding triple-header, Mercedes trackside engineering director Andrew Shovlin said the team need to regroup ahead of a fresh challenge awaiting them at Silverstone....
