‘Lewis re-signed as he can see writing on the wall for 2021'
Tom Clarkson feels one of the reasons behind Lewis Hamilton's new Mercedes contract is that he knows within himself that he's now unlikely to win the 2021 World Championship. Max Verstappen has opened up a 32-point gap to the seven-time World Champion in the Drivers' standings over the course of the first triple-header of the season, with the Red Bull driver looking increasingly dominant in that time.
