Wolff explains why Hamilton signed new 2022 Mercedes F1 contract early
Article To news overview © Mercedes Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff believes confirming Lewis Hamilton's future at Mercedes will allow the team to focus their efforts on the title battle against Red Bull. Hamilton signed a new two-year deal at Mercedes which will see him remain with the team until the end of 2023, the same end date of Wolff's current contract. "As we enter a new era of F1 from 2022 onwards, there can be no better driver to have in our team than Lewis," said Wolff in a statement.
