Mercedes explain surprise Bottas and Hamilton chassis swap
Article To news overview © Mercedes Mercedes have confirmed that Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas have swapped chassis ahead of the French GP to ensure that both chassis complete similar mileages. RacingNews365.com understands that the change had been made to even out chassis mileage between the two cars as Mercedes plan to reintroduce Bottas' chassis from Imola which was damage following his high-speed collision with George Russell. “It’s not a new chassis,” Bottas told RacingNews365.com and other select members of the press. “It’s different and it was always planned for me to change to a different chassis at this point.” Bottas is hopeful that he can bounce back this...
