Violent crash by Rosenqvist causes red flag at Indy GP in Detroit

The first of the Indycar double header in Detroit came to a violent halt on lap 27, in connection with a big crash by Felix Rosenqvist. The McLaren driver's throttle got stuck in the corner exit, causing the car to drive full throttle into the tire pile and cement blocks. Shortly after the incident, the red flag was raised, due to the enormous damage sustained by both the car and the cement blocks. Fortunately, marshals were on the scene quickly to rescue a conscious, but clearly pained Rosenqvist from the car and take him to the medical centre.
