Verstappen realistic: "I think Mercedes are a bit ahead of us there"
Max Verstappen enters the race weekend in Baku as the championship leader. However, it remains to be seen whether he and Red Bull Racing can repeat the result of the Monaco Grand Prix, or whether Mercedes will prevail again in Azerbaijan. Verstappen says he took his victory in Monaco quite soberly. "I have noticed that the victory in Monaco had more impact on other people than on myself," he says in conversation with Motorsport.com. "Of course it was super nice to be able to win in Monaco, but I'm not someone who is very exuberant or goes all out after a win."
