Mazepin prevented accident: 'There was a big risk'

Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin drove in the back again in Monaco. Where the German started behind his teammate, he overtook him already in the first lap. The Russian decided not to make things too difficult for Schumacher. Mazepin felt his teammate was going to overtake him. "I felt that if you're fighting for P19 or for P18," he states in conversation with Motorsport.com. "There was a big risk of leaving both cars for the rest of the race there, and I just didn't want to go to the garage and being responsible for it. So I wanted to race fair, and the race was long."
