Max may have ‘more reserves' for long title battle
Helmut Marko thinks Max Verstappen’s youth could be decisive if his World Championship battle with Lewis Hamilton goes to the wire. Five races into the season and already the 2021 Drivers’ title race is a head-to-head affair, with Verstappen four points ahead of Hamilton after his Monaco Grand Prix victory as the reigning champion finished only seventh. A further 45 points back in third is McLaren’s Lando Norris, with the other Mercedes and Red Bull drivers, Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez, another nine and 12 adrift respectively.
