Lawson wins second F2 sprint race, Verschoor seventh

Liam Lawson has won the second sprint race of Formula 2 in Monaco. The New Zealander stayed ahead of Dan Ticktum, who came just short of a victory. Richard Verschoor started in 13th place, but finished six positions up front. The teams were busy at the start of the race, because the weather conditions were not easy. Where during the night the necessary rain fell down, just before the race it was sunny over the circuit. The drivers therefore started with wet tyres. Lawson's start was bad and Oscar Piastri took the first position. But that was not for long, because Lawson took over the lead again after a few laps.
