Azerbaijan GP added to race calendar by one year

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix will remain on the racing calendar in 2022. This is confirmed by Azad Rahimov, the Minister of Sports, in conversation with MotorLat. Moreover Rahimov expects that the race will also start in 2021. Last year the Formula 1 organisation had to cancel several races due to the corona crisis. The Azerbaijan circuit was one of them, which made the organisation decide to extend the contract with one year. As a result, the drivers will also be racing in the country in 2022.
