Alonso sees Verstappen and Hamilton out of reach: 'GP wins go to them'

Many drivers who switched teams or made their comeback in 2021 still need to get up to speed. Carlos Sainz, Fernando Alonso and Sergio Perez are examples. The three drivers know there is still a lot more to come, but all sound patient to NOS. After two seasons with just one Spaniard in the premier class of motor racing, there are two again this season when Alonso joins Alpine. When asked who will finish higher, Sainz says: "You guys love that question, don't you? While you know the answer," he laughs. "Of course I want to beat Fernando and I believe in myself.
