Ricciardo: I didn’t see myself at Red Bull in 2021

Daniel Ricciardo has said that he would have left Red Bull by this stage in his career regardless of his decision to join Renault ahead of the 2019 season. The Australian spent five successful seasons with the Milton Keynes outfit, winning seven races across the period and twice finishing third in the drivers' championship. However, with the emergence of Max Verstappen at Red Bull, Ricciardo announced his decision to leave the team for Renault midway through the 2018 campaign. Ricciardo has since moved on to McLaren, where he has started the 2021 Formula 1 season with two consecutive top 10 finishes.
