Grid penalty for Vettel

Sebastian Vettel has been handed a 5-place grid penalty for his failure to respect the double yellow flags at Turn 1 in the closing stages of Q1. The Bahrain stewards heard from the German, and a team representative as well as reviewing video, radio, telemetry and marshalling system evidence, from both his car and the cars surrounding him. Nikita Mazepin spun at Turn 1 in the last moments of Q1 bringing out a double yellow flag in the marshalling sector. Valtteri Bottas, Sebastian Vettel, Sergio Perez and George Russell approached the scene and drove past Mazepin.
