F1 sprint race plans stall over crash damage bill

Formula 1 management still has issues to resolve before a new sprint qualifying format can be accepted for selected grand prix weekends this season, according to Haas team boss Guenther Steiner. The sport had hoped to get everything related to the sprint race format sorted before Sunday's start of the season in Bahrain but is set for more talks over the next three days. Steiner told reporters during a video call on Thursday: 'There are a few details to be ironed out but I think we're in a fast-moving world and we just need to adapt to it to stay current.
