Perez and Sainz take up Bahrain vaccine offer

Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz have both confirmed that they took up the offer to be vaccinated against COVID-19 on their arrival in Bahrain for pre-season testing. Prior to testing and the Grand Prix later this month, the Bahraini Health Ministry extended the offer to all Formula 1 personnel travelling to the country. The sport itself initially confirmed that their employees would not be taking up the offer, with F1 keen not to 'jump the queue'. However, it was reported on Wednesday that some team members planned on accepting the offer and the two drivers confirmed today that they had received their first dose.
