Le Mans 24 Hours postponed by more than two months

The Le Mans 24 Hours has been postponed, the organisers announced on Thursday afternoon. Originally, the legendary WEC race was to take place on 12 and 13 June. Under the current circumstances, the 89th edition of Le Mans might have been organised on the original date, but the fans would have had to stay at home in front of the television. The current corona situation does not offer enough perspective to assume that spectators will be welcome again in three months' time.
