Norris: Albon dropping shows F1 is a hard world
Lando Norris believes that Alex Albon losing his seat at Red Bull shows just how much of a 'hard world' it is to be a driver in Formula 1. The Thai racer was replaced by Sergio Perez at the end of the 2020 season after a disappointing campaign, where he finished seventh in the drivers' championship, 109 points adrift of his teammate Max Verstappen. Albon has spent just two seasons in the sport and will now act as a reserve driver for Red Bull, while also driving for a new AlphaTauri-branded team in DTM. Norris and Albon raced against each other in the junior categories, finishing second and third respectively in 2018 F2 standings, and the young Brit revealed that while they are friends,...
